Segregation started in 1865 and ended in 1964 during this time black people unfairly had no rights. white people struck fear into their souls and it looked like right when they were born they would have to go through a challenging painful life. Some of these people are very strong though and they stand up to the unfairness and abuse to black people. One of these people is Rosa Parks. Not only being black during this time but also a woman, she was a strong independent black woman who thought segregation was unfair. She is a great example of an unsung hero.

This unsung heros name is Rosa Parks she was born in Tuskegee Alabama and she was born on February 4th 1913. She is a black female living in the time of segregation, she believed that people should not be judged by the color of their skin. She had the courage of a lion, she was persistent and she took charge in segregation. The reason this person in known around the world is because one normal day, Rosa was taking a bus back to her house. She saw a seat up in the front of the bus that was open so she sat in it. Then a white male showed up and told her to get out of her seat, she refused because she got to the seat first. She was later arrested for disobeying an Alabama law. She affected segregation because people heard about this event and started to boycott busses.

Rosa had the world against her right when she turned black, she didn't realise it then but she would have to go through a life of hardships and challenges. She had to deal with racism and abuse everywhere she went, most of the she couldn't even eat at an everyday restaurant because of her skin color. She couldn't even have a car as she had to take the bus which black people had to pay more money and sat in the back. This didn't stop her as she was determined to keep going. Just for standing up for herself she got a sentence to jail. Going to jail was very unfair as she just wanted to sit on a bus, she was later released on December 5th charging a 2 month sentence.

As the past paragraphs has stated Rosa has gone through many hardships and challenges. She started boycotts on busses and made it so it's now more friendly with black people. She went to jail, she was a black woman, her life was filled with hardships. So in conclusion that's why I think Rose is a unsung hero
